Most schools have activities and sport for the students to provide entertainment. Darnell Cookman School of the Medical Arts, has a variety of sports as well, such as Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Golf, Cheerleading, Swimming, and Track & Field.
The Darnell Cookman track and field team seems to be the best team out of all sports in Darnell, aside from cheerleading. Since it is track and field season, students that love running need to be recruited. Coach Huber will be the track and field coach this year. If interested, contact him for any information at [email protected]. Until then, wait for the announcements. All information will be mentioned, including requirements.
In track in field, runners prepare a lot using the track as a resource and other exercises practicing for long runs. This helps increase the goal of the team, and speed to run far and fast. There are different types of running track like 200, 400, and 800 meter running, 4×4, Relays, hurdles, and a sum of others as such. Here are some students from last year’s track reporting about our track.
Anonymous Student: Track was fun, I love track, and our teammates work hard to get to where we are now. Our breaks were short because we had to prepare for our races, however they did help us prepare for these races
Anonymous Student: I liked track and field. I made great memories of being there. If I could I’ll join again for track, i definitely would.
Remember that track and field is a sport encompassing various athletic competitions that involve running (on a track), jumping, and throwing events, with the field referring to the grassy area where throwing events like shot put and discus take place; essentially, it’s a collection of different athletic disciplines tested on a running track and a field area, including sprints, long distance races, hurdles, high jump, long jump, and throwing events like javelin and shot put.
Be on the lookout for any announcements about our track and field team, so if you are interested you will be prepared to join the team.
