This includes leadership opportunities, education, and mentorship programs that are designed to uplift and elevate girls with the power of the positive and the possible. One of the best things about Gen WoW is the opportunities for members to gain various skills. Whether it’s though workshops, guest speakers, or hands-on projects. Members will gain knowledge in areas such as communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. Additionally, leadership is an essential skill that the club offers by giving them the confidence to take the initiative and make decisions. Additionally, helping their academic performance and bringing in a skill that will help them in the future.

For instance, the club always has suggested ideas for get-together activities and everyone in the club is open to discussion and collaboration among members. Gen Wow also offers a mentorship program for every student. They’re able to sign up and be matched by a mentor. Through one-on-one guidance or group discussions, mentees receive essential advice on various things such as time management, goal setting, and personal development. Additionally, a mentor can help mentees with their college process or with their FAFSA. Whether it’s learning effective study habits or improving their communication skills, a mentorship program helps students by providing them with important skills outside and inside of schools.

The club goes beyond by contributing to the local community. For instance, the club offers volunteering activities that are dedicated to giving service. Its objective is to bring sustainable change and impact to our neighborhoods, by distributing foods and sorting or inspecting donated foods for neighbors in need. Additionally, they helped seniors in our community last year by wrapping gifts for residents of a local senior living facility. These volunteering activities not only help our community, but also students who need volunteer hours.
