With the quarter closing up this week and winter break fast approaching, Darnell-Cookman Middle/High School has decided to host a special event called ‘Winter Dress-Down Days’. But why is this event happening? High School Seniors should always have a prom. Some schools do, some schools don’t, but if there is one thing that always comes with proms, it’s money. It costs a lot to get the location for the prom, the food, drinks, DJ—everything. So basically, this is a fundraiser for the High School prom.
Today we had Christmas Gear On, where we wore Christmas-themed accessories and clothes. Tomorrow, we have Lumberjack Workday, where we wear a flannel. On Wednesday, it’s Winter White-Out, where we have to wear all white. On Thursday, there is Sweater Weather, when everyone wears a Christmas-themed sweater. Finally, on Friday, it’s Warm and Cozy—this event is to wear SCHOOL APPROPRIATE pajamas!
In order to participate in these events, you must pay $5 through SchoolCashOnline. This money will go to funding for the prom. It would be much appreciated if you participated.
