It is beginning to be the festive season now, and a new festive movie came out, this one all though this movie has a few curse words, the whole idea that Santa is real comes true, in this movie. This movie proves all those theories wrong of how Santa is not true, but this is a more modern version of how yes, he is true and alive. This is like your classic story of the introduction to the characters then something bad happens then the ending and everyone is happy, there is a good amount lot of plot twist as well, but this movie has a lot of inspirational aspects to teaching the audience a lesson of being good; and you know of the good list and the naughty list these play a major role in the movie, but first let me recap.
This movie has Santa and his best helper who is a part of the E.L.F-elf: the rock or Cal and his job is to protect Santa at all costs. There is also the director who also helps with that as well. It starts with them at a mall, with Cal protecting Santa like normal, and out of random a blogger tries to get a plug with Santa but Cal in a very firm way declines his offer, they then go to Santa home to the north pole. We meet our second protagonist, that starts off as a bad man because he is a famous hacker who traces Santa’s traveling route which was an odd offer, but he did it anyway because he needed the money, this led to Santa getting kidnap his name is ghost or last name O’Malley which he gets called a lot in the movie. He gets kidnap because of his crime to become a source to help find Santa they go on a serious of quests and meet to different people and villain’s.
To find him they meet the first source who helps the antagonist Gryla, which u can’t say her name, or she will find you and O’Malley makes that mistake multiple times, the first time he said it with the first source of Gryla who then summons her and bring her first helpers, villain snowman. They have a fight scene with them and then we get a taste of Malley’s life. He has a son but isn’t a great father as shown a lot and which further shows why he also is on the naughty list then Cal conversates with director aka Zoe to who she also helps finds Santa, they decide to go and meet the witches ex which is also Santa’s brother Krampus, he gives more information to further proof to the witches plan which is to punish all the naughty people in the whole world. He had the key thing to let this plan be put in effect and he gave it to her, did I mention how Malley stole something which had brought them here in the first place? In the scene where they are in a jail cell Malley showed disappointment to Cal but later, he produces a plan to get them out.
This shows Cal that people can change, but with his stupidity he says the witches name Gryla, and she sends an evil gift to her son and him. His son got out of anger simply because his dad did not come to his show and was absent though the gift and got teleported in a snow globe, trapped. Since he cares for and loves his son deeply, he purposefully touches the globe which puts him in the same trap as his son. Then Cal realized where the witch was hidden because of Malley tracker which was not being located. This led them to produce a plan to not only find them but everybody else who was associated in the North Pole or The E.L.F. This is because the north pole has been taken over by shape shifters. Cal and director must sneak in and not trust anyone, to find them. Which they did and Dylan, the son that had also been captured, had also found the rest of the E.L.F. They have all bunched up together to find the antagonist.
They ended up finding her and they all break up to fight. Dylan leaves with Mrs. Claus while Cal and Malley go a chase the witch who has Santa captured. They manage to stop her, but the fight does not end there when she falls in the water to then evolve into a bigger monster which leads to a boss fight. Santa on the ground trying to recover while Cal and Malley fail to fight then Santa’s brother, Krampus the guy who captured them earlier comes and ends up listening to Cal inspirational words and realizes his brother has a job to do and helps defeat the witch, but basically causes a distraction. After that Santa recovers, calls his reindeer and defeats Gryla. So now they then have a job to do so Santa prepares to save Christmas and with his festive magic goes to every house all around the world and delivers gifts to everyone. Malley becomes nice and becomes a better father; Cal also decides to stay because originally, he wanted to retire but that changes soon after he realizes the kids and people need him to stay. The End.
That is the whole movie like I said there are a decent amount of cruse words not too many but there are some, a good humor aspect to this movie, and just festive fun added. Again, I would recommend you all to watch this movie because it was amazing and if u want to see the easter eggs or a more in-depth reasoning to the movie go ahead and watch the movie. It came out November 6, 2024, so not freshly new but not too old at all, I would that it is a recent movie. So go ahead and check it and enjoy it.
