The holiday season arrived, bringing festive gatherings and joyful celebrations in its wake. On Monday, December 16, a special holiday party took place in the media center during lunch, marking a highlight of the season with fun activities and delicious treats.
The food was a key aspect of the holiday party, with attendees contributing store-bought items. A diverse and delectable spread was ensured, thanks to a menu of suggestions and the thoughtful contributions of everyone who filled out the form by December 6.
Adding to the excitement was the White Elephant gift exchange, a beloved holiday tradition. Participants brought wrapped gifts, valued between $10 and $20, and took turns choosing or “stealing” gifts. This light-hearted game brought plenty of laughs and surprises, making it a memorable part of the celebration.
One student, Kowen Webb, humorously exclaimed, “I’m going to eat everything so nobody else gets any!” His enthusiasm perfectly captured the fun and light-hearted spirit of the event.
The holiday party proved to be more than just an event; it was an opportunity for friends and classmates to come together, share in the joy of the season, and create lasting memories. Despite the earlier cancellation of Friendsgiving, the spirit of unity and celebration remained strong, and the organizers’ dedication ensured the event’s success.
As the day arrived, anticipation turned into festive joy, and the holiday party embodied the warmth and togetherness that define this special time of year. It was truly a wonderful occasion, celebrating the season in style.
